A refined concave nose section creates additional lift, significantly improving early planing and efficiency in lighter winds. This extra efficiency allows the board to accelerate quickly and stay on the plane with less effort, making the CARVE accessible and rewarding across varying conditions.

For stronger winds and more dynamic riding, the CARVE offers an optional inboard stance with a middle-position back footstrap. This setup increases rail-to-rail reactivity and control, giving more advanced and storm-focused riders a connected, responsive feel when the wind picks up.

At the tail, a carefully refined underwater shape maximises early planing while reducing drag as speed increases. This results in smooth acceleration, higher top-end performance, and reassuring control when fully powered.

Comfort plays a central role in the CARVE’s design. New ergonomic pads with integrated toe support and a shock-absorbing comfort layer provide excellent grip while reducing impact and fatigue. This allows you to sail longer with greater precision, ease, and confidence.

Control is further enhanced by the Drake Freeride fin, carefully specified for each size. It blends flowing, natural turns with straight-line efficiency, delivering dependable grip, smooth jibing, and confidence at speed.

An enhanced deck concave lowers the rider’s centre of gravity, improving drive and power transfer from the rig. This keeps the board stable and planted while blasting through rougher conditions and maintains balance and control through jibes.
