The Combat is NeilPryde’s most iconic all-round wave sail and the first-choice of World Cup team riders across the globe. Renowned for its blend of light feel, balanced power, and exceptional control, the Combat delivers dependable performance in everything from marginal conditions to fully powered wave sailing.

For 2026, the Combat has been carefully refined with subtle but powerful updates focused on improving low-end power while preserving the legendary high-wind stability that has defined this sail for years. A refined batten configuration allows the sail to fill more quickly, generating earlier drive without compromising control at the top end.

The Combat HD features Power HD Technology in the foot and clew, using Ultra PE yarns precisely aligned along load paths. This results in crisp response, outstanding durability, and razor-sharp handling. The HD construction also incorporates an Ultra-PE X-Ply window, increasing strength while keeping weight to a minimum—ideal for demanding wave conditions.

Built around a 4-batten layout, the Combat delivers a light, reactive feel with exceptional manoeuvrability. A higher-aspect design with a slightly longer luff, narrower boom, and larger head provides excellent drive and acceleration, whether powering onto a wave or getting planing in lighter winds.

Thanks to its refined outline, updated luff curve, and larger panel layout, the Combat offers one of the widest wind ranges of any wave sail. Rig it fuller for marginal conditions or apply more outhaul when overpowered—the sail remains stable, smooth, and predictable throughout.

Available in Pro Fuse, HD, and Regular constructions, the Combat combines high performance, rugged dependability, and all-round usability. It is equally effective for jumping, radical wave riding, and high-wind control, making it the most versatile wave sail in the NeilPryde range.

Developed and tested at the NeilPryde Maui Design Center and refined through extensive team-rider feedback, the Combat represents the most advanced evolution of NeilPryde wave sails to date—now with slightly more low-end power, and the same trusted control.
