JP Super Ride – Pure Ease & Sportiness
The JP Super Ride sits at the very heart of the freeride category, delivering the perfect balance of ease, comfort, speed, and sporty performance. As one of JP’s most popular and successful freeride lines, the Super Ride continues to impress with four refined shapes that make high-performance freeriding accessible to a wide range of sailors.
This third-generation Super Ride, designed by Werner Gnigler, builds on the highly successful redesign introduced last year. The updated shapes significantly improve stability and control, making the boards more comfortable and forgiving across a broader range of conditions—while still enhancing performance, speed, and agility. The Super Ride remains true to its core DNA: a perfectly balanced freeride board that is easy to handle, fast, sporty, and above all an exceptional jibing machine.
The Super Ride’s shape features a wider tail and increased overall width, creating a stable platform with a large planing surface. Combined with an efficient rocker line, this design promotes early planing and smooth, predictable performance. Reduced drag allows the board to ride higher on the water, delivering a lively, efficient feel with consistent control—even in choppy conditions.
A carefully refined rail shape with a high apex point generates additional lift, especially noticeable through fast, fully planing jibes. This helps maintain speed while carving, giving the board its trademark smooth and flowing turning character. The ergonomic deck shape provides comfortable foot placement, whether using inboard freeride strap positions or more outboard, performance-oriented setups. Sharp tail edges ensure clean water release for maximum speed and control, while the streamlined nose outline supports efficient water flow and easy manoeuvrability.
Fin Setup
The Wood Pro models are equipped with updated Tuttlebox CNC G10 RIDE fins, available in sizes 38, 40, 42, and 44. Redesigned with a cleaner outline and shorter trailing-edge chord, these fins reduce drag, increase top speed, and create a lighter, more responsive feel—perfectly complementing the Super Ride’s blend of performance and ease of use.
