Designed to complement JP’s Ultimate Wave range, the Magic Wave was developed to excel when conditions are less than perfect, making it the go-to choice for team riders and everyday wave sailors alike.

Featherlight S-TEC Construction
For this generation, the Magic Wave introduces JP’s groundbreaking S-TEC technology, reducing weight by around 500 grams while maintaining proven durability. A no-paint finish, refined lamination process, reduced EVA and anti-slip zones, and the elimination of the rear centre fin box result in a significantly lighter board with a fresh, technical look and a noticeably livelier feel on the water.
Durability is preserved through the use of premium S-glass, Biax-Carbon reinforcements and UD Carbon layers beneath high-density PVC. The bottom laminate now wraps fully around the rails and overlaps with the deck laminate, increasing torsional stiffness and reinforcing the rail structure for added strength and control.
Refined Shape – More Control, More Flow
Shaper Werner Gnigler refined the Magic Wave’s outline to strike an even better balance between maneuverability and control. A wider swallow tail improves early planing and enhances radical turns in smaller waves, while a slightly narrower nose adds precision without sacrificing stability. Improved floating balance helps riders cross white water more easily and plane earlier in marginal conditions.
A more centered balance point, combined with footstrap and fin boxes positioned further back, delivers powerful back-foot turns while maintaining grip and control. The refined bottom shape adds extra V in the front for smoother rail engagement, sharper turns and increased comfort in choppy conditions.
